PROPRIETARY SIQUAL 5920 Heat Treatments


  • Soft Annealing: Heat to 650 - 700°C, cool slowly. Normalizing: 850 - 880°C. Intermediate Annealing: 630 - 650°C. Carburizing: 850 - 980°C. Cooling from carburizing temperature: oil, water, thermal bath, salt bath. Hardening: Core hardening: 840 - 870°C. Surface hardening: 800 - 830°C. Quenching media: oil, water, thermal bath. Tempering: 150- 200°C.
