PROPRIETARY 35NiCrMo15 Heat Treatments
- Hot-forming: 1000-900°C. Normalizing: 840 - 860°C, air cooling. Quenching: 830 - 860°C, oil, polymer cooling. Tempering: 550 - 600°C, air cooling. Stress-relieving: 50°C under the temperature of tempering. Stress-relieving: 180 - 210°C, air. Soft annealing: 650 - 680°C, air cooling. Full annealing: 780°C slow furnace cooling to 350°C then air. End quench hardenability test: 830°C, water cooling. Mechanical properties at different tempering temperatures obtained after quenching at 850°C in oil.
