PROPRIETARY K1045 Heat Treatments
- Forged at 800 - 1100°C cooled in furnace. Normalized at 850°C air cooled. Annealed at 680 - 710°C, cooled slowly in controlled furnace. Stress relieve at 600 - 650°C, furnace or air cooled. Flame or induction hardened at 820 - 860°C, water or oil quenched. Hardened at 800 - 830°C, water quenched. Tempered at 150 - 200°C, air cooled.
