PROPRIETARY BÖHLER K490 MICROCLEAN Heat Treatments

  • Stress relieving: 650-700°C (1202-1292°F); after through-heating, soak for 1 to 2 hours in a neutral atmosphere; cool slowly in furnace.

    Hardening and tempering: 1030-1080°C (1886-1976°F); Oil, N₂. Holding time after temperature equalization: 20 to 30 minutes. After hardening, tempering to the desired working hardness according to the tempering chart.
