PROPRIETARY 23ZH100 Heat Treatments
- Annealing: Temperature range is from 780 to 820°C for 2h or more. Cooling time depends on weight. For charges weighing few tons cooling down to 350°C is approximately 15 h. For heavier charges cooling rate should be slower.
Sheet-to-Sheet Annealing in a Continuously Operated Furnace:
Soaking temperature is 800 ± 20°C for 30 s to 2 min. For sheets where w <= 200 mm heating from nominal to soaking temperature is 30 s and cooling down to 400°C is approximately 30 s. For sheets where w => 200 mm both heating and cooling must be carried out slowly. Annealing atmosphere is air.
