VdTÜV X2CrNiMoN17-13-5 Heat Treatments
- Solution annealing at 1040°C to 1120°C followed by subsequent quenching for thicknesses 10 mm and under with moving air, inert gas or water; for thicknesses over 10 mm, quenching takes place in water.
This material can be cold and hot formed.
The temperature range 1250°C to 750°C (preferably 1200°C to 1000°C) is recommended for hot forming.
After hot forming and after cold forming with degrees of deformation > 15%, heat treatment is required.
