PROPRIETARY Chromindur II Alloy Heat Treatments
- Solution annealing can be accomplished by heating to 950°C followed by an air or rapid furnace cool. A typical aging treatment to promote maximum hard magnetic characteristics is to rapidly heat to 680°C, cool at 110°C per hour to 615°C, hold 30 minutes, cool at 15°C per hour to 570°C, hold for 30 minutes, cool at 8°C per hour to 520°C, then furnace cool.
