PROPRIETARY X 245 HTM Heat Treatments


  • Normalised at 870 - 900°C, 2h, cooled to 540°C in the furnace at a rate of 10°C/1h. Below 540°C allow to cool naturally in air. Stress-relieve annealed at 650°C for 2h. Cooled must be executed slowly in the furnace to 500°C. Below 500°C the cooling can be made simply in air. Hot bath tempered at 200 - 500°C, cooled in air. Heat treatment 1: Hardened at 1080°C. Tempered at 520°C. Heat treatment 2: Hardened at 1080°C. Tempered at 500°C.
