PROPRIETARY X 230 HTM Heat Treatments


  • Normalised at 820 - 860°C, 4 - 8h, cooled to 540°C, air cooled. Stress-relieve annealed at 650 - 700°C, 2h, slowly cooled to 500°C, air cooled. Hardened at 1050 - 1150°C, 15 - 30min. Recommendable hardening in a vacuum, it requires double of the regular holding time. Heat treatment 1: Hardened at 1050°C, tempered at 520°C. Heat treatment 2: Hardened at 1100°C, tempered at 541°C. Heat treatment 3: Hardened at 1150°C, tempered at 560°C.
