VdTÜV 15NiCuMoNb5 Heat Treatments
- Normalized or hardened at 880 to 960°C after reaching the temperature in the entire cross section. Air, water or oil cooled. Tempered at 580 to 680°C, held for 30 minutes minimum. Cooled in air.
Heat treatment after welding: Annealing at 530 to 620°C
for t ≤ 15 mm (min. 15 min)
for 15 < t ≤ 30 mm (min. 30 min)
for 30 < t ≤ 150 mm (approx. 60 min)
for 150 < t ≤ 400 mm (approx. 90 min)
for 400 < t ≤ 625 mm (approx. 120 min)
Cooled in air
