PROPRIETARY Sandvik 20AP Heat Treatments
- Soft-annealing should be conducted for a period of one hour at a temperature of 650-680°C (1200-1250°F). Wire diameter <= 5 mm: hardening at 800-820°C for 3-6 minutes, quenching in oil at 50°C. Wire diameter > 5 mm: hardening at 790-810°C for 6-10 minutes, quenching in water. Tempering at 100-600°C for 30-60 minutes.
