MIL I-46182 Heat Treatments


  • Heat casting to 889°C (1650°F), hold at this temperature for a minimum of two hours per inch of cross section, cool in furnace to 732 - 691°C (1350 - 1275°F) and hold this temperature for 15 to 24 hours; cool in furnace to below 371°C ( 700°F), the castings may then be cooled in air to room temperature.
