PROPRIETARY JFE M-4 Heat Treatments

  • Stress-relief annealing is performed to remove such strain and to restore the inherent good magnetic properties. Stress-relief annealing may vary according to the degree of fabrication and the type of annealing equipment.
Heating and cooling rates: Magnetic properties are not affected by heating or cooling rates as performed on an ordinary industrials scale. However, care must be taken so that no strain will remain in the material.
Annealing temperature and holding time: Optimum annealing temperature range is 780 - 850°C. (1436 - 1562°F). Material must be maintained until heated up uniformly within this temperature range. Holding time varies depending upon the shape of core, the number of coils charged and the type of furnace.
