NMX T 4 Heat Treatments
- Hot-finished pipe should be thermally treated: by slow cooling from a temperature above 845°C; for isothermal annealing from a temperature above 870°C; quench air in a cooling chamber of a controlled atmosphere furnace from a temperature of 900°C or higher and warming at a temperature of 650°C or higher. Cold drawn tubes, after the last drawing step, must be heat treated at a temperature of 650°C or higher.
