VdTÜV StE 255 Heat Treatments
- The temperatures suitable for normal annealing depend on the chemical composition of the steel. The temperature may be different depending on the manufacturer even when the same type of steel, but is generally in the range of 880 - 960°C. The stress relief annealing is carried out in the temperature range 530 - 580°C. The holding period totals not more than 150 min.
