GB 40CrMnSiMoVA Heat Treatments


  • Isothermal annealing: 910-930°C, air-cooled to 700°C (4h). Tempered at 910-930°C, air-cooled at 700-740°C; Quenched and tempered (1): Heated at 910-920°C (oil quenched) and tempered at 200-300°C (air-cooled); Quenched and tempered (2): Heated at 910-920°C (quenched in oil), (180-230°C, 1h isothermal air-cooled) and tempered at 200-300°C (air cooled). Heat treatment 1: Heat treated at 920°C. Austempered at 180°C, 1h, air cooled. Heat treated at 260°C, air cooled. Heat treatment 2: Heat treated at 920°C, oil quenched. Heat treated at 260°C, air cooled. Heat treatment 3: Heat treated at 920°C. Austempered at 230°C, air cooled. Heat treated at 260°C, air cooled. Heat treatment 4: Heat treated at 920°C. Austempered at 250°C, air cooled. Heat treated at 260°C, air cooled. Heat treatment 5: Heat treated at 920°C. Austempered at 300°C, air cooled. Heat treatment 6: Heat treated at 920°C. Austempered at 320°C, air cooled. Heat treatment 7: Heat treated at 920°C. Austempered at 180°C, air cooled. Heat treated at 260°C, air cooled.
