- Normalized or tempered at 880-900°C, air cooled at 650-680°C. Quenched at 880-900°C, air cooled. Oil quenched at 840-860°C, water cooled at 550-610°C; Quenched and tempered: Heated at 800-840°C (oil quenched) and tempered at 150-200°C (air cooled).
