CSN 16 220 Heat Treatments
- Forging at 1100 to 800°C, cooling slowly;
Normalizing at 880 to 920°C, cooling slowly in air;
Soft annealing at 680 to 710°C, cooling slowly in furnace;
Case-hardening in gas at 900 to 930°C, cooling in a cooling unit or in cooling zone.
Case-hardening in in salt bath at 890 to 910°C, cooling in air.
Case-hardening in powder at 860 to 900°C, cooling in a box or case hardening on air.
Hardening at 800 to 830°C, blurring in oil or in a bath at 150-170°C;
Tempering at 150 to 200°C, delay temperature 1-2 hour, and cooling in air;
