- Normalized, stress relieved - Normalized: 830 to 880°C, after reaching the temperature at total cross-sectional cooling in still air; Stress relieved: 570 to 620°C (can also be done at 520-570°C) , 2 min per mm product thickness at least 30 min, cooling in still air; Quenched, tempered - Hardened: 820 to 880°C at least 10 min after reaching the temperature the entire cross-section, quenching in water, Tempering: 600 to 650°C at least 10 min after reaching the temperature the entire cross-section, quenching in water or air, Stress relieved: 570 to 620°C 2 min per mm product thickness at least 30 min, cooling in still air.
