ASME 1.4424 Heat Treatments
- Hot forming at 1150 to 1000°C, air cooling
Solution annealing (+AT) at 1000 to 1100°C, air or water cooling (cooling sufficiently rapidly in order to avoid precipitation). If heat treatment is carried out in a continuous furnace, the upper part of the range specified is usually preferred or even exceeded.
Temperatures of solution annealing shall be agreed for simulated heat-treated test pieces. - Hot working (air cooling): 1200-1000°C; +AT - Solution annealing (air or water cooling): 1000-1100°C.
