ASME 1.4113 Heat Treatments
- Hot forming at 1100 to 800°C, air cooling
Annealing (+A) at 790 to 850°C, air or water cooling (cooling sufficiently rapidly in order to avoid precipitation). If heat treatment is carried out in a continuous furnace, the upper part of the range specified is usually preferred or even exceeded.
Temperatures of solution annealing shall be agreed for simulated heat-treated test pieces. - Hot working (air cooling): 1100-800°C; +A - Annealing (air cooling): 750-850°C.
