PROPRIETARY Thermodur 2344 EFS Heat Treatments
- Soft annealing: 750-799°C, cooling: furnace 7°C/hour to 649°C then air cool. Stress relieving: 649°C for 2 hours, cooling: cool slowly to 499°C in air. Hardening: 1010-1027°C hold at temperature for 30 minutes, cooling: vacuum quench at 10°C to 538°C then cool to below 65°C.
- Soft annealing: 750-800°C; cooling: furnace. Hardening: 1010-1030°C; Quenching: air, oil or saltbath, 500-550°C.
