ISO 4303-305-00-I Heat Treatments
- Hot forming: 1150-850°C, air cooling; Solution annealing (+AT): 1000-1100°C, water or air rapid cooling. If the temperature of hot forming does not drop below the lower temperature for solution annealing, a temperature of 980°C is adequate as a lower limit for Mo-free steels, a temperature of 1000°C for steels with Mo contents up to 3%, and a temperature of 1020°C for steels with Mo contents exceeding 3%.
- Hot forming: 1200-900°C, air cooling; Solution annealing (+AT): 1010-1150°C, water or air rapid cooling. If the temperature of hot forming does not drop below the lower temperature for solution annealing, a temperature of 980°C is adequate as a lower limit for Mo-free steels, a temperature of 1000°C for steels with Mo contents up to 3%, a temperature of 1020°C for steels with Mo contents exceeding 3%.
