VdTÜV Altherm NiMoV Heat Treatments
- Hardened: 880 to 940°C, holding period 1 min for each mm cross-sectional thickness, but at least 30 min. Tempered: 580 to 650°C, holding period depending on the section thickness (up to 4 h). Cooling on air; Stress relieved: 560 to 620°C, holding period 1 to 2 minutes per mm cross-sectional thickness, at least 30 min. Cooling on air.
