VdTÜV 34 CrMo 4 Heat Treatments
- Hardening: 840-900°C / => 10 min. /oil order the same kind curing medium; Tempering: Holding temperature for class I and class II at 600-700°C, for class III at 580-660°C and for class IV at 530-630°C. Holding period is 40 to 100 min. and cooling in the air.
- Queched an tempered (V1 to V10): Hardening from 860 to 900°C, holding period of 20 to 40 min, depending on the product thickness or diameter, quenching in aquaquench max. 50°C; Tempering V1,V5,V7 and V8: 550 to 610°C, V2: 570 to 610°C, V3 and V4: 510 to 550°C, V6: 560 to 620°C, V9: 570 to 670°C, V10: 540 to 600°C, holding period 1.5 hours or over, cooling in still air.
