VdTÜV X20CrMoV11-1 Heat Treatments
- Quenching and tempering:
Austenitized at 1020-1070°C, held for min. 60 minutes after reaching the temperature in the entire cross-section, quenched in oil or cooled in air.
Tempered at 730-780°C, held for min 30 minutes, cooled in still air or in furnace.
After hardening the entire cross section of the pieces must to be cooled to temperatures below 130°C. Temperatures below 80°C should be avoided.
Not intended for cold forming.
