ISO JSA/XNi23Mn4 Heat Treatments
- The recommended stress-relief heat treatment is as follows: a) heat up to between 625°C and 650°C at a rate not exceeding 150 K/h; b) hold within this temperature range for 2 h plus 1 h, per 25 mm section thickness; c) cool down to 200°C in the furnace, at a rate not exceeding 100 K/h; d) air cool; The recommended high-temperature stabilising (for a static or cyclic elevated temperature service at 500°C or above) heat treatment is as follows: a) heat up to between 875°C and 900°C at a rate not exceeding 150 K/h; b) hold within this temperature range for 2 h plus 1 h, per 25 mm section thickness; c) cool down to 500°C in the furnace, at a rate not exceeding 50 K/h. d) air cool.
