ASTM F836 Class F1-45 S43020 Heat Treatments
- Condition A: the ferritic alloy shall be heated to a temperature of 790 ± 30°C, held for an appropriate time, and then air-cooled.
Condition AF: annealed by heating to 1040 ± 30°C, at which time the chromium carbide will go into solution. The nuts shall be held for a sufficient time and then cooled at a rate sufficient to prevent precipitation of the carbide.
