SAE Ferrium C64 Heat Treatments
- Bars and forgings shall be normalized by heating to 974 ± 14°C (1785 ± 25°F) for 60 minutes minimum, cooling in air to room temperature and annealed by heating to 679 ± 14°C (1255 ± 25°F) for not less than 2 hours, and cooling in air.
