PROPRIETARY TRIP 780 Heat Treatments


  • Steel ingot was forged into a slab of 80 mm in thickness. The slab was homogenized at 1250°C for 2 h, and hot-rolled into sheets of 4 mm in thickness. The hot-rolled steel sheet was pickled by a 10vol% HCl solution at 80°C and was cold-rolled into sheets of 1.4 mm in thickness. Rectangular specimens of 200 mm in length and 50 mm in width for thermal simulation on Gleeble-3800 were machined with their major axis oriented parallel to the rolling direction.
