ASTM A 403 CRNIC Heat Treatments
- Solution annealed at 982 - 1038°C (1800 - 1900°F) until the chromium carbides go into solution, and then cooling at a sufficient rate to prevent reprecipitation. Quenching media: water or other rapid cool.
Heat Treatment is highly dependent on intended service temperature.
