ASTM A 990 CK3MCuN Heat Treatments
- Solution heat treated: Heat to 1205-1240°C (2200-2265°F) for 1 h at temperature/25 mm of thickness with a min. of 4 h. Quench in water or rapid cool by other means.
Post weld solution heat treatment shall be performed at a min. of 1150°C (2100°F) for a min of 1 h/25 mm of thickness and water quenched or rapidly cooling by other means.
