ASTM A 193 B8S Class 1D Heat Treatments
- Rolled or forged bar shall be cooled rapidly immediately following hot working while the temperature is above 955°C (1750°F) so that grain boundary carbides remain in solution. Class 1D shall be restricted to applications at temperatures less than 455°C (850°F).
