ASTM B 883 MIM-420 Heat Treatments


  • Austenitized and tempered at 204°C (400°F) for a minimum of 1h.
    HIP processing parameters: 1121°C ± 14°C (2050°F ± 25°F), 103 MPa for 4 h +15 min. Heat treatment was vacuum harden at 1010ºC (1850ºF), pressure quench in nitrogen and temper at 205ºC (400ºF) for 1 h.
