Heat Treatments
- Material shall be heat treated by annealing, normalizing, precipitation hardening, quenching and tempering, normalizing and tempering, normalizing and precipitation hardening, or quenching and precipitation hardening.<br />Precipitation hardening: Consists of heating to a temperature between 538 - 677°C (1000 - 1250°F), holding at temperature for not less than 1/2 h, and then cooling at any convenient rate.
