SAE 5935 Heat Treatments
- Solution heat treated by heating to 840 ± 14°C (1545 ± 25°F), holding at heat for a time commensurate with section thickness, heating equipment and procedure used, but not less than 30 minutes, and cooling as required to below 32°C (90°F).
Precipitation heat treatment: H1000; 538 ± 6°C (1000 ± 10°F); 4 ± 0.3 hours.
