ASME SA-182 F 59 Heat Treatments
- After hot working, forgings shall be cooled to a temperature below 538°C (1000°F) prior to heat treating.
Solution treated and quenched at 1080 - 1120°C (1975 - 2050°F), liquid cooled.
Quenching cool below 260°C (500°F).
Ferritic-austenitic grades may be solution annealed without cooling below 538°C (1000 °F) by being re-heated to the solution annealing temperature.
