PN 40A Heat Treatments
- Wrought steel: Heated at 1100-850°C, softened at 650-700°C and normalized at 850-890°C. Hardened at 830-870°C, center zone cooled in water or oil, than tempered at 550-660°C. These face of test sample hardened in the range of 870°C+/-5.
