ASTM A 768 Grade2 Heat Treatments
- Austenitizing from 1900–1940°F (1035–1060°C); first tempering at a minimum 1040°F (560°C); second tempering at a 1010-1040°F (545-560°C). The forging shall be stress-relieved at a temperature not more than 100°F (55°C) below the final tempering temperature, but not less than 1100°F (595°C).
