PROPRIETARY 30MnB5 Heat Treatments
- Hot-forming: 1150 - 900°C. Normalizing (+N): 860 - 900°C, air cooling. Quenching (+Q): 860 - 900°C, polymer, water cooling. Tempering (+T): 450 - 650°C, air cooling. Stress-relieving (+SR): 50°C under the temperature of tempering or 180 - 200°C. Soft annealing (+A): 600 - 680°C, air cooling. Full annealing: 860 - 880°C, furnace cooling. End quench hardenability: 880°C, water cooling. Mechanical properties at different tempering temperatures obtained after quenching at 870°C in water.
