PROPRIETARY SRV2W Heat Treatments
- Annealed: Gradual heating up to 850°C; Slowly cooled.
Tempered: Preheating to 750°C; Heating to 1050°C; Air or gas under pressure cooling. For massive parts, cooling at air can be replaced by quenching in a salt bath at 230-250°C followed by stopping in air. It is recommended to carry out the heating under neutral atmosphere. To obtain the maximum hardness, it is necessary to make two successive tempering at 520°C.
