PROPRIETARY NC310YW Heat Treatments
- Annealed: Heated to 955°C for 1 hour, transfered to a furnace at 700°C, held at that temperature for 24 hours followed by slow cooling.
Quenched and double tempered: Oil quenched from 920-940°C; Sub-zero treatment; Double tempered at 300°C.
Hardened: Heated to 920-940°C; Oil quenched. Sub-zero treatment: Cooled to -75°C and held for 4 hours. This process should not be carried out more than 4 hours after quenching; Double tempered at 300°C.
