PROPRIETARY MMR1 Heat Treatments
- Annealed: Heated to 825°C, slow cooled.
Quenched and tempered (1): Oil quenched from 850°C; Tempered at 150°C.
Quenched and tempered (2): Water quenched from 850°C; Tempered at 575°C.
Carburized, hardened and tempered: Carburizing at approx. 900°C; Hardened at 850°C, oil or water quenched; Tempered after carburizing and hardening. The steel is used either without being tempered or after tempering between 140 - 200°C as required. For use in the heat treated condition without carburizing, temper in accordance with properties required.
