PROPRIETARY C 65 Heat Treatments
- Forging at 1100 - 900°C, slow cooling. Annealing at 800 - 830°C for 4 - 6h, slow furnace cooling. Stress relieving at appr. 650°C for 4 - 6h, slow cooling. Hardening at 1150 - 1180°C (1190 - 1240°C for cutting tools), quenching in hot bath or oil at 450 - 550°C. Tempering at min. 540°C or higher as required. Nitriding possible.
