PROPRIETARY R P Mo H Heat Treatments


  • Annealing at 820 - 840°C for 4 - 6h, slow furnace cooling. Stress relieving at appr. 650°C for 1 - 2h, slow cooling. Hardening 1070 - 1100°C, quenching in hot bath at 450 - 550°C, or oil (when oil, interrupt at appr. 400°C). Tempering as required min. 550°C. To increase toughness, temper 2 or 3 times. Nitriding possible possible with adequate tempering.
