PROPRIETARY C40 Heat Treatments
- Hot-forming at 1100 to 850°C.
Normalizing (+N) at 870°C, air.
Quenching (+Q) at 840, water or Quenching (+Q) at 860, oil or polymer.
Tempering (+T) at 550 to 650°C, air.
Str.reliev (+SR) 50° under the temperature of tempering.
Soft annealing (+A) at 690°C, air.
Isothermal annealing (+I) at 820°C, furnace cooling to 660°C, than air.
End quench hardenability at 870°C, water. - Normalizing at 840 - 880°C, subcritical annealing at 650 - 700°C, isothermal annealing at 840 - 880°C to 660°C for 1h. Hardening at 830 - 850°C and at 810 - 840°C, water. Tempering at 550 - 650°C.
