KS SL5N590 Heat Treatments
- Material shall normally be supplied in the quenched hardened and tempered condition. However, an intermediate heat treatment may be applied if necessary, i.e. an operation of cooling from a dual phase composed of austenite and ferrite intended for improving toughness which is carried out prior to tempering.
