ASTM A 600 T11350 Heat Treatments
- Pre-heat at 732 - 843°C (1350 - 1550°F) then austenitize at either 1104°C (2020°F) in a salt bath or 1116°C (2040°F) in a controlled atmosphere furnace. Oil quench or quench in molten salts and air cool. When a salt quench is employed, its temperature shall be 566 - 635°C (1050 - 1175°F). Temper three times at 538°C (1000°F) for 2 hours each
