ASTM A 182 F 904L Heat Treatments
- After hot working, forgings shall be cooled to a temperature below 538°C (1000°F) prior to heat treating.
Solution treating and quenching: austenitizing/solution heat treatment temperature 1050 - 1150°C (1920 - 2100°F), liquid cooling. Quenching cool below 260°C (500°F).
