ASTM A 753 Type 1 Heat Treatments
- Heated to a temperature of 1120°C to 1180°C (2050°F to 2150°F) and has been held for a period of 2 to 6 h. If retort construction permits, even higher temperatures can be used. Cooled to room temperature at a rate as prescribed by the producer.
